Thank you so much for being here! I am so excited to help you build the perfect wedding timeline for your big day. It can be so hard to plan what goes where - and for how long - and when - but I am here to help!
While creating your timeline, here are a few things to keep in mind! Here are the times I ask for each of these things -
Bridal Party Portraits - 30 Minutes for Larger, 15-20 for Smaller Parties
Family Portraits - 30 Minutes
Detail Shots - 30 Minutes
Below you can find timelines I have used with Brides before. Not every venue, catering company, floral company, and bridal party will allow for the same schedule - but you can use these to have an idea!
Timeline One -
This is a fairly basic timeline! There was no travel time to photo locations needed, because all photos were taken at the venue! The Bride purchased an extra half hour for the end of the evening, so that they could get photos on the dance floor!
12:30 - Photographer Arrives at Venue
12:30-1:00 - Detail Shots + Getting Ready Photos
1:00 - First look with family, Bridesmaids, and Groom
1:10 - Private Vows with Bride + Groom
1:20 - Bridal party Photos
1:50 - Family Photos
2:20 - Couple Photos
2:50 - Leave from Venue to Arrive at Church for Ceremony
3:20 - Arrive at Ceremony and Hide
4:00 - Ceremony Starts
4:30 - Ceremony Ends
4:35 - Bride and Groom Exit, hop on Party Bus!
6:00 - Party bus arrives back at Reception Venue
6:00 - Bride and Groom + Bridal Party Entrances
6:10 - Welcome and Prayer speeches
6:30 - Dinner is Served!
6:50 - Start Speeches
7:00 - Bridal Party Scavenger Hunt
7:15 - Cake Cutting + Serve Dessert
7:30 - First Dances
7:45 - Open the Dance Floor
8:00 - Photographer Coverage Ends!
11:30 - Sparkler Exit
Timeline Two -
This timeline is a very basic timeline! At this wedding, the bride + groom were both getting ready at the venue, taking photos at the venue, held the ceremony at the venue, and the reception was at the venue! No travel time was needed.
12:00 - Photographer Arrives! Head to getting ready room
12:00-12:30 - Detail Shots + Getting ready photos
12:30 - Mom places corsage on groom + Pics with mom!
1:00 - Mom buttons bride into the dress + Pics with Mom!
1:20 - Private first look and Vows with Bride and Groom
1:30 - Bridal Party Photos
2:00 - Family Portraits - Immediate + Extended
2:45 - Bride and Groom Portraits
3:00 - Hide for Ceremony
3:30 - Ceremony begins
4:15 - Bride and Groom get on the Party bus!
5:30 - Reception Starts
5:35 - Bride and Groom Entrance
5:40 - First Dances - Bride and Groom, Mother and Groom, Father and Bride
5:50 - Prayer + Speech by Father of Groom before Dinner
6:00 - Dinner Begins!
Bride and groom sneak out for Sunset Pics
6:45 - Speeches + Toasts
7:00 - Cake Cutting
7:30 - Bride and Groom Wedding Games
8:00 - Dance Begins!
Photographers coverage ends!
11:30 - Last Dance, and Dance Ends!
Timeline Three -
This timeline is unique because the Bride wanted to save family photos, bridal party photos, and extended family photos for after the ceremony, during coctail hour. This worked well because the Bride had a small bridal party, so we had time for each! This couple was also leaving early in the morning for a honeymoon cruise, so they wanted the wedding to end early!
10:00 - Photographer Arrives! Head to getting ready room
10:00-10:30 - Detail Shots
10:30 - Start Getting Ready Photos
12:00 - Groom Arrives to the Venue to begin getting ready
12:30 - Getting Ready Photos with Groom + Dad
2:00 - Bride gets in the dress - mom buttoning her in!
2:30 - First Look with Father of the Bride
2:45 - First Look with Groom
2:50 - Private Vows with the Bride + Groom
3:00 - Couple Portraits - at the venue
3:30 - Bride, Groom and Bridal Party hide before the ceremony!
4:00 - Ceremony
4:30 - Ceremony Ends! Couple leaves and goes behind the venue.
4:35 - Family Photos behind the venue
4:50 - Bridal Party Photos
5:15 - Cocktail hour ends
5:15 - Entrance, Go right into the first dance!
6:20 - Dinner is served!
7:15 - Toasts
8:30: Cake Cutting/Dessert
8:30-10:00: Music and Dance
9:20: Bride and Groom Exit!
9:30: Photographers Contract Ends!
10:00: Wedding Ends!
